For Boys Only

My son is not the type who pesters me to buy him stuff, but he couldn’t resist this one.

It’s Foldabots Toy Book Vol 1, a book which can make a boy can let loose his imagination with 14 cardboard robots and playing cards. Foldabots are robots made from cardboard paper that can also be folded into robot vehicles or animals. Pretty much like a girl’s paper dolls.

Foldabots is a regular section in K-Zone magazine, which I’m pretty sure is a huge hit (my son is among the Foldabots’ avid followers).  Summit Media  compiled all of their characters into one book, and made it bigger and added more “powers.”

The names of the robots are so cool - Astig, Kislap, Karera, Bangis, and a Metrotren. Very Filipino. My husband and I are so impressed we hope that this creation will find its way in a tv series or a movie.

Boys will surely love all that amazing stuff! It costs only P150 and is available in National Bookstore branches. I’m planning to give Vol 2 to my son’s friends and cousins so they could all play together. Maybe they can have a Foldabot party.

Got a great holiday find? Share it with us in The Filipino Mom Blog.

Hi Cess! I just bought exactly the same Foldabots last Sunday as a gift to our neighbor’s son. Good thing hit pala sa mga boys your son’s age iyan. Total Girl kasi kami, not much of K-Zone. :D

Folding the boards to create a robot will also enhance the patience and other skills of the kids, so I say it definitely is a fab find!

That looks like an interesting craft book. I’ll check it out when I go to National tom. It’s something that I think Yohan will enjoy too. Thanks for sharing.

Good find nga yan at that price. And yes, nakaka enhance ng patience at fine motor skills of the hands. I remember tuloy yung paper dolls natin nung araw. bakit nga ba di na ma appreciate ng kids yun ngayon? Enjoy na enjoy ako sa paperdolls ko dati.
