The Season Has Begun

Last night, a mall nearby launched a fireworks display that made everyone rush out to the open area. We have all seen fireworks before, perhaps even more majestic than that, but that did not prevent me and my fellow mall-goers from whipping out our cameras. Young and old oohed and aahed and clapped with glee. Nothing like a fireworks display to bring out the kid in us, eh?

As soon it was over, we all trooped back inside, where Christmas songs blasted from the mall’s PA system and the booth selling CDs. And that was when I noticed that the mall was already adorned with lights and lanterns.

Wow. It’s Christmas. The malls have officially declared the start of the season.

TV 5 is also launching its second season with new shows this week, including the show I’m working for.

KIDDIE KWELA is a 30-minute comedy show that turns the spotlight on kids. The show captures children’s unguarded reactions and unfailing wit on camera by placing them in certain situations and by asking them some questions. Kiddie Kwela is hosted by funnyman Bayani Agbayani.  (From Faye Martel’s website. )

Catch the pilot telecast on Tuesday, November 25, at 8pm!

I love firework displays. Christmas is indeed in the air. I enjoy seeing mall shops decorated with festive ornaments. I just love hearing Christmas songs played on the radio. We’re putting up our Christmas tree next week.

I’ve never seen fireworks at Christmas. What fun!

The stores in our area already pulled out the Christmas merchandise and the Christmas music some time ago. I wish they waited at least until the day after U.S. Thanksgiving, as they used to. But, I am getting into the holiday mood.
