Clean Slate
One wall in the bedroom used to be the canvas of my daughter’s *sigh* art work.
“Used to be” - because now it’s gone. The wall is now graffiti-free.
Thanks to Mr. Muscle Kitchen Cleaner. That’s right, a Kitchen Cleaner. The one used for cleaning stoves. It costs PHP 99.75 which is way, way cheaper than repainting your wall. A friend hired a painter to re-do her walls. Me, I used a Kitchen Cleaner.
I didn’t plan on using it. I was just cleaning the stove, then I went to the bedroom to change the sheets, and grimaced, once again, at the sight of that wall.I realized I’ve had enough of that art work and grabbed the Kitchen Cleaner. I chose it among my, ehem, collection of cleaning products because it’s no-rinse, so cleaning the wall shouldn’t be messy.
And it wasn’t. One squirt, one wipe, and I saw the true color of my beloved old wall. Pretty much like that detergent commercial where a bar of soap whizzed by and left a white strip on the shirts. Before I knew it, I was in a scrubbing frenzy.
If you want to try it at home, I suggest you test it on an inconspicuous spot first. Things may not work well in your wall.

d kasi uso sa atin ang DIY. painting the wall yourself is sooo easy! and fun (^_^) but did you let them write on the wall in the first place?
LC: no, i went inside and there it was. she was so proud i couldn’t bear to erase it - at first. then it turned into an eye sore

ay Cess, the manufacturer of Mr. Muscle owes you a LOT already. pangalawang endorsement na to! hehe, but seriously, that’s a good cleaning tip there. imagine naman ang laki ng matitipid mo by using the trusty stain cleaner vs. painting the walls all over. I’ll try the tip myself. thanks.
fabric..hmm… i use dishwashing liquid and an old toothbrush on crayons on leather, pero i admit di ko pa nasusubukan sa fabric. but i have used the same to remove some types of tough stains on clothes. if i encounter such a problem, i’d do that. hope this helps.

i remembered when we wrote on the wall of our room then. my parents were SOOOO mad kasi we covered the whole wall with crayon writings. 4 pa kami na magkakapatid niyan. i pretended kasi that i was a teacher. haha!
i can still feel how the belt on my butt and how we scrubbed that wall until the crayon marks were erased.
lesson learned? never ever have a white or blank wall in the house. it somehow attracts children to write on them.

Hmmm, matry ko nga yan. I have that too, pus the one being used in the bathroom. But then I am rethinking about using these stuff since these are chemicals. I may have to shift to more natural and environment-friendly stuff to use.
Try to maglagay ng manila paper on the wall for your daughter to write on. Or maybe impose on rules. We have some little accidents like that but when we said they can have access to the ream of bond paper we use for printing, ayun, nabawasan
Magastos nga lang.
Have a great week Cess. Postponed achievement test ni Julian but he is wheezing with asthma again.

Oh nooo! You ruined a master piece! LOL Hey, you could have an artist in the making there.
As for cleaning stove tops, I use baking soda. It’s also good for cleaning kitchen walls and microwave ovens. It works well with grease and oil splatters.
