mommy lunch

What would’ve happened if I did not go to the Mommy Lunch?

pmn1.jpg

Thanks Noemi, for this photo.

1. I would not have been stuck in traffic in UP.

2. I would have watched Shrek 3 and Pirates.

3. I would not have found out that Swiss Deli’s servings are too much for one person. Next time I’m ordering a salad. O kaya sinigang na ulo ng maya-maya. :D

4. I would not have learned that this was not just any EB, that there is a bigger, higher endeavor. Feels great to be among the first on the latest, I tell you.

5. The bloggers’ faces would remain a mystery to me. But thanks to this gathering, not only did I meet them, na-beso-beso ko pa. A little more time and we would be baring our souls. Actually, we were getting there.

With Chat and Salen

6. I would not have met the bloggers’ kids whom they often feature. I want my kids to be smart and as cool and as pretty as your kids when my kids grow up. Pero di ako nagmamadaling lumaki sila ha.

7. I would not have learned that to be a true-blue blogger you should always bring a camera. How can you chronicle an EB for one?

8. I would not have learned that kids of today are way better at cameras, than us grown ups. The pictures I took are very amateurish compared to the picture taken by Salen’s 11-year old daughter, who used my camera just this one time. The picture is so pretty. My camera was heavy but her hands were steady. I don’t have the heart to resize the picture.

An so I totally abhor the traffic in UP because it made me late for this get-together. And Shrek and Jack Sparrow are nothing compared to the company I had.

So.. kelan uli? We have a mission to accomplish. Not to mention we must all be dying for more girl talk.

Hi Cess. When you were walking towards the table, the first thing I thought of was, “Oh my, she looks really young.” You look fresh out of high school. :)

I had a great time yesterday and hope we can do it again some time soon.

Natutuwa ako sayo kasi you’re so full of life. Di ba ‘di ka excited’? *wink* :)

Take care and thanks again for being warm and friendly.

LC: really, a high school grad? wow, sarap naman niyan! thanks! i really had a wonderful time. ang reklamo ko lang ay kulang ang oras :D
ako? excited about “that?” oh not a bit, mommy connie had to plead pa nga e - LOL!

Hi there Cess. I agree with Rach — the first thought I had upon seeing you (and the rest, actually) was — geez, they’re all so young pala! It was ages ago when I had kids the age of Yohan and Nico!

I am so, so glad to have met you and am looking forward to all our future EBs. Sayang, ang layo ko sa inyo. Di tuloy tayo nakapagkwentuhan….

Don’t feel so bad. Haven’t watched Shrek 3 and Pirates myself. Come to think of it, I haven’t seen Spiderman 3 either. Think I am missing out ah….maybe this coming week I will do a movie marathon. :-)

LC: hi mommy jane! naku, ok lang not having watched the movies. am looking forward to being able to really really talk to you next time :)

I was talking to a blogger friend of mine and we both agreed that it’s way cooler to become a mommy blogger than us single ones. Hahaha

That looks so much fun, Cess! :)

    Have a great week ahead!

LC: hahaha! siguro we get to bring kids, e sila pa lang that’s entertainment na :)

Ay nakakainggit! I miss attending eyeballs. If only I’ll have the time then maybe I can go back to attending one.

Ang gaganda ng mga mommies ha! It’s really a great feeling to meet the faces behind the names. I’m sure you have found new friends that will stay with you for the longest time. I should know because most of my closest friends now were people I met from the chat room.

I have to agree, the kid who took the picture has great potential. Ganda ng shot :)

LC: oo nga pala, sobra kang busy with work and basti. saka, you cannot do that right now, or any other get-together for that matter, pagaling ka muna. mwa! get well soon!

    The mommy lunch…

Twelve members of the Pinoy Moms Network met for lunch yesterday. Some met the others for the first time. If I remember correctly, it was Cess who was the ice breaker because, according to her, she was not excited at all LOL.

Hi Cess! Kala ko nga magka-age lang tayo. Mukha pa tuloy ako older nyehehe. It was great meeting you all, medyo haggard lang ako with my little Lex, bagsak nga kami sa pagod nung gabi. :-) See you soon!

    hi, Cess

i remember having posted a comment last night, now it’s gone (maybe still in your spam list).

anyway, i had so much fun, connecting the names with the faces. i know now, next time, i’m also bringing some of my kids, and next time–we should not be stuck in one end of the table. same as in blog hop, it should also be chair hopping.

i also come from the same area–Teacher’s Village, when we saw the traffic, we had to turn back and take EDSA.

Hi cess! I agree, you looked so young… I hope next lunch we will have more time so we can pore into each other’s lives LOL. It was really great meeting you..
I came from Commonwealth, walang traffic sa EDSA. I got to Sheridan in less than 30 minutes ata, including the time I went around Ortigas because of a wrong turn LOL.

Nakakatuwa naman yan. I’ve heard about this gathering and asama ka pala dyan. Like Sasha said, it’s quite different when EBs with moms like you guys. I’ve never attended large EBs like that yet. Seems fun.

Cess, I was laughing at your post, it is funny! So many stories left unsaid, so many anecdotes hanging in the air. So many topics not covered. Guess we will just reserve these for the next EB, :)

    Hope to see you around!
