wow mommy!
I was in high school the last time I had long hair. Two years ago, my hair was cut really really short, I decided I should try growing my hair past my shoulders. I am already in my 30s, I am blessed with fine straight hair regardless of the shampoo I use, so I should be able to experience having long hair before I hit 40. If Gretchen and Dawn can do it, so can I.
As my hair grew longer, I began receiving a lot of flak from my mom and her friends. Hindi bagay sa iyo. Mukha kang *bleep bleep*. I sought the opinion of childhood friends, and they all said short hair suits me more.
Since my hair had become unruly anyway with all its layers, I decided to go to the salon last weekend to have  half of it chopped.
Goodbye my 2-year old hair. I couldn’t help feeling sad. I didn’t just lose my hair, I let go of all my hard work. I’ve bought a number of hair accessories already.
And then my son said, “Wow, mommy! Your new hair is nice. You look like a woman.”
Alright, fine! I get it!

anyway, I face a different case when it comes to my mom’s hair. She would sometimes say that she wants to grow her hair long and me naman magsasabi na Ma, I prefer your short hair, wag na lang. Actually,hindi ko mapicture-out mom ko na she has long hair, I’m used to seeing her with her short hair, until now hindi pa rin siya nagpapahaba

Hi Cess. I had long hair when I was young until I was in college. When I started working, I had it cut just below the shoulders then some more until I realized I enjoyed having short hair. Now, I keep it short because it’s easier to manage.
Sorry you felt sad cutting your hair short but I’m glad your son loves the change. The great compliment from him seems to make the decision worth it.

i think short hair is good, madaling patuyuin, less shampoo/treatment, mas mura ang charge pagnagpa-head spa.(hehe) pero ayoko magpaputol sayang alaga ko to e. marami nga nagsasabi looking young nga raw pagshorter hair.
