relax, see a movie
I cannot remember the last time I entered a cinema WITHOUT the kids.
Yeah, it’s been that long.
Last weekend, Ipan and I went to a THX cinema in SM North EDSA (kelangan THX he said) to watch 300. I know, I know, we’re a little behind. Our friends chuckled when we told them we had not seen it yet.
We left Ipan Jr. and Dora with my parents, and it felt kind of.. weird to be in a mall without the little hands around us, the little voices that can actually be deafening. Hay, pambihira. Ipan and I wanted time to be alone, a chance to watch a movie that’s not rated GP. Finally we were alone, and we were wishing the kids were with us.
Ipan loved 300. Personally, there was nothing mind-boggling about the story, nothing was amazing about the lines.
But it was laden with testosterone. Unbelievable bodies. Unbelievable faces. Adrenaline-rushing fight scenes. The men talked as if they were lions speaking english. And Ipan (and the men I know) lapped it all up.
He promised himself he would buy a DVD. Collector’s item daw tiyak iyon and he must have it.
On the way home he kept repeating the lines in the movie, and he remembered quite a lot. What is your profession! Huh! Huh! Huh! He would respond to me in a gruff voice. Feeling niya Spartan na rin siya.
Haha! I read somewhere there is a little boy in every man. So 300 is like a sweet treat for the little boys in them.
It’s now Monday, but Ipan would still shout “Spartaaaa!” in the shower. May hang-over pa rin. Leaving the kids was worth it.

I’ve watched 300 at home, bcoz hubby has downloaded it in the PC. As you have observed, puro hunks ang mga men habang parang diyosa naman ang mga babae. And the fight scenes were too violent. Boring panoorin sa PC, mas maganda nga siguro kung sa THX.
Na-curious lang ako kay Gerard Butler kasi I’ve watched “The Phantom of the Opera” kung saan siya ang gumanap na The Phantom. Tapos isa rin siya sa nag-audition para sa character ni James Bond pero nakopo ni Daniel Craig.

Anyway, kung gusto mo talagang ma-relax, panoorin mo nga ‘yung flick ni AiAi.
Nawala ang stress namin ni Wendy when we decided to watched the movie after window shopping last Saturday.

kaso he insisted na kailangan daw sa sinehang dumadagundong ang sounds. gerard butler is perfect as leonidas (at least sa pov ng asawa ko ha?

hindi ko pala panonoorin si hubs ng 300 kasi isip bata na sya ngayon pa lang eh.hehehe! alam mo, late mga moviews na shino-show dito compared dyan sa atin. pero maaga naman pinapalabas sa mga tv channels.
i’ve told hubs just the other day na bibili kami dvd ng 300. collector’s item nga yan!

LOL! kakatawa naman Hubby mo! i loved the movie too. Pero ayoko yata bumili ng DVD (nakaka-stress eh!). Pero si Hubby mukhang may balak.

I heard 300 is a very good movie. Will have to buy a DVD (pirated, pero DVD copy, hehehe) for that.

Hi Cess. My husband watched 300 while I was at the salon. Nagkita nalang kami after. Ang ganda daw. Bumili sya ng DVD a week ago. Sabi ko nga eh napanood na nya bakit bumili pa sya. Maganda daw kasi and gusto nya panoorin ko. Di ko pa din napapanood hangang ngayon. Siguro one of these days. Marathon ako kahapon, natapos ko in one day yung Episodes 1-17 ng Heroes.

hahaha, ang hang-over sa akin nung movie, mas na-inspire akong mag-sit ups! (ha-wooo) or else do-drowingan ko na lang ng eight packs ang abs ko (as if meron ako hehehe).
it was an enjoyable movie and should be seen on the cinema (sa THX din namin pinanuod), iba yung pakiramdam na nararamdaman mo yung dagundong at swoosh-swooosh ng mga espada at arrows.
on cute ng ina mo, it was a hilarious movie, just don’t expect so much as you won’t get anything, revelation dito si luis/lucky manzano, nakuha nya kakenkoyan ng tatay nya, aliw yung eksena na sinabi nyang “magdusa ka” sabay sara ng pinto tpos diretso emote, panalo! anak nga ni edu hahaha.

Lam mo minsan lumabas din kami ni kd na wala ang mga kids, malling then kain sa resto. Kakamiss rin pala, hahanapin mo yung ingay at kakulitan nila, mahirap din kumain…hehehe.
Si kd pag watch sya ng cartoons sa tv at gusto mo syang kausapin off mo muna yung tv dahil kung hindi para kang nagsalita sa hangin.

oh yes,we need quality time with our hubby alone din nmn…kami rin ni hubs,kumukuha kami ng leave at least one day para lang manood ng sine,maglakad hand in hand,at mag lunch together..hayy,na miss ko yata bigla yun!puro bonding sa car kasi lately,hehe..
maganda nga raw talaga yang movie na yan,wala pa rito,late kasi kami,pero dahil sa sinabi mo,bibili rin ako ng DVD para collection
